01 · Public use

Public facts, limited service signals.

Market records are source-linked public information, not customer profiles. A calculator uses the head count, weight, and market information you enter to return a result without saving it as a personal scenario.

Like most online services, LMP processes limited request and security information such as an IP address, browser or device details, request time, and security-challenge results to deliver pages, protect sign-in and enrollment, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. A signed-in account also uses an essential secure session cookie.

On a limited list of public routes, LMP uses available Cloudflare bot signals and general request-header patterns to estimate whether a request is from a likely person, an AI-labeled client, a search crawler, other automation, or an unknown client. These categories are estimates, not identities: user-agent and browser headers can be spoofed, and Cloudflare bot signals are not always available.

After that estimate is made, LMP keeps aggregate hourly request and response-status counts, allowlisted public page-family totals, and two-letter US state totals for likely-person page views. The state is derived at Cloudflare's edge from the request location; LMP does not store the IP address, raw user-agent, query string, referrer, cookie, account path, city, postal code, coordinates, or a per-request identifier in these traffic aggregates. High-volume request bursts may be omitted to protect public-data reliability, so the counts are not unique-visitor or billing counts. Traffic aggregates are scheduled for deletion within 90 days.

We may count visits to an auction source link in daily totals. Those counts do not store an IP address, browser identity, account, cookie, or full referring page.

If you submit the optional feedback form, LMP records an allowlisted page family, the category you choose, the note you type, a server timestamp, and review status. Feedback is not attached to an account, contact, device, session, IP address, raw user agent, referrer, or query string. Please do not type personal information into the feedback note.

02 · Accounts and personal tools

Personal features need personal information.

If you choose to use an account or personal feature, records may include:

• email, passkey, recovery, and essential session metadata for an account;
• saved markets, filters, plans, watchlists, and alerts;
• coarse location such as a selected market, town, or ZIP when the feature needs it, and an encrypted full home address only when you save it for Haul route planning;
• a private Haul profile with vehicle, fuel type, head capacity, and loaded-MPG details, plus plans you explicitly save;
• membership and payment-status references, but not payment-card numbers handled by a payment service;
• an optional phone number plus verification, delivery, consent, suppression, and opt-out records when you choose text alerts;
• AI-support usage metadata when you use that feature; and
• if an AKIN connection is offered later, a scoped, revocable grant and minimum price-relevant inputs after explicit consent.

03 · Purpose and minimization

Collect only what the feature needs.

Personal information may be used to authenticate an account, save requested work, evaluate and deliver chosen alerts, manage a membership, prevent abuse, secure the service, answer a grounded AI support question, or honor a correction, export, deletion, or integration request.

Town, ZIP, or a chosen market is preferred over exact ranch coordinates. LMP does not publish private herd details, exact locations, saved plans, messages, support context, or AKIN animal records.

A saved Haul comparison keeps the round-trip mileage used and coarse planning assumptions, but does not copy the street address into the comparison snapshot. The encrypted street address remains in the account's saved home location.

04 · Email and text choices

An account is not blanket communication consent.

Creating an account does not enroll you in marketing, price alerts, or text messages. Account enrollment, recovery, and essential service messages are separate from optional alerts. Email and text are separate choices: agreeing to one does not authorize the other, and neither is a condition of creating an account, using public data, or purchasing a membership.

Email alerts can be paused or deleted from the Notifications page. If you receive an optional marketing email, use its unsubscribe control. If you receive an LMP text, reply STOP to end texts and HELP for help. Message frequency depends on the alerts you choose; message and data rates may apply. Member and Pro include up to eight one-segment text alerts per month once text delivery is available.

LMP does not sell or rent mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in data. We do not share that information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. It may be shared only with service providers needed to verify a number, deliver a requested message, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

05 · Service providers and AI

Use is limited to providing the feature you choose.

Service-provider categories may include hosting and security, account email, payment processing after paid enrollment opens, requested email or text delivery, and optional AI support. Depending on the feature, they may receive an email address, limited request or security data, payment-status reference, optional phone and consent status, message delivery details, or the support question needed to complete the request.

When you ask Member AI support a question, LMP sends the question and limited product context to an AI service provider to prepare the response. LMP processes that exchange for the request and records operational usage metadata—such as the account, feature, model, token counts, estimated cost, and outcome—instead of adding prompt or answer text to its AI usage ledger.

Automatic routing is currently inactive, so manual Haul comparisons do not send the saved home address to a routing provider. If an approved routing provider is activated later, LMP will send the address only when you explicitly choose an automatic comparison and only to locate the starting point and calculate driving mileage to the listed auctions. The address is not published, included in the public market dataset, or copied into a saved comparison snapshot.

We do not sell personal information or publish private account, location, saved-plan, message, support, or herd details.

06 · Retention and control

Ask to access, correct, or delete.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the requested feature, security, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. Consent and suppression records may be kept as needed to honor an opt-out. Public source and correction records are separate from private account information and may remain in the public record.

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, or withdraw a communication or integration choice. Send the account email and a clear description of the request to data@livestockmarketprices.com. Do not send a passkey, password-manager export, payment-card number, or confidential livestock record. We verify requests before changing protected records.

If a privacy request is denied, reply to the decision with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line and explain why it should be reconsidered.

07 · Security and consumer information

LMP uses administrative, technical, and access controls intended to protect private information. No online service can promise perfect security. Contact the data desk if you believe an account or private request has been exposed.
