Terms of use.

These terms explain how to use Livestock Market Prices and how we handle sources, corrections, and service availability.

Market data is context, not a promise.

Livestock prices vary by animal, class, condition, lot, buyer, location, sale terms, fees, and timing. A published report, comparison, or calculator result is informational. It is not a guaranteed selling price, formal appraisal, offer to buy or sell, accounting valuation, lending value, or veterinary advice.

Readers remain responsible for checking the stated date, unit, statistic, class match, source, assumptions, and current conditions before making a decision.

Citations do not erase upstream rights.

LMP separates third-party source reports from normalized factual observations and its own calculations. Auction, publisher, USDA, and other source credit should remain attached to the applicable record. A citation or public link does not mean LMP owns every upstream document, image, commentary passage, trademark, or other protected material.

Reuse must follow the rights guidance carried with the applicable dataset or interface. Do not imply that an upstream auction reported an LMP-derived comparison or valuation.

Public market facts are aggregated into a combined view and remain free to browse. LMP does not sell ownership of upstream data. A paid membership, when activated, covers convenience features such as saved work, analytics, and requested alerts—not a claim over the underlying public facts.

A source owner or authorized representative may request an attribution review, correction, integration discussion, or removal of affected data by emailing data@livestockmarketprices.com. LMP will verify the relationship to the source and preserve the resulting decision in its correction or rights history.

Keep public access useful and safe.

Public pages and practical machine-readable interfaces are intended for reasonable use. Users must not bypass access controls or rate limits, probe private or administrative records, submit malicious files or instructions, disrupt availability, impersonate an auction operator, misstate source credit, or use LMP to facilitate unlawful activity.

Ordinary public data access is not conditioned on buying a membership. Specific API limits, representation rights, and attribution guidance may accompany a published interface or snapshot.

Membership is optional.

Public market information does not require a paid membership. Membership features may include saved work, alerts, and other personal tools. Any price, renewal terms, cancellation choices, and included features will be shown before purchase.

Automated notices are a convenience and may be delayed or missed. Do not rely on an alert as the only way to monitor a market.

Published records can be revised.

Source reports can be corrected, withdrawn, delayed, or unavailable. We label report dates and record corrections when appropriate. Missing data is not a zero price.

Availability, coverage, and third-party services cannot be guaranteed. Questions about a source, correction, or removal can be sent to data@livestockmarketprices.com.
